PlayersOnly rewards their poker players for consistent play by awarding them Gold Chips every time they earn a certain number of frequent player points. The gold chip system is ONLY for poker, and it is very similar to other online poker room rewards programs. Read on to find out how it works:
Gold Chips are earned when players accumulate a certain number of FPP's at the PlayersOnly.com poker room. If you look in your Cashier you will see a Gold Chip Meter. As you earn FPP's, the gold chip meter starts to fill up, and once you fill it all the way up you earn a Gold Chip and the meter starts over.
After you earn your first gold chip, it actually becomes easier to earn more gold chips. As you earn chips (up until your 6th chip) the meter becomes smaller and smaller, so you'll earn additional chips faster and faster. Also, when you earn your fifth gold chip of the month, you'll receive an additional, bonus gold chip. After you earn your fifth chip of the month, you'll stay at the same gold chip meter rate for the rest of the month.
For each gold chip you need to earn a set amount of FPP's, shown here:
| Gold Chip | FPP's Required |
| 1st | 120 |
| 2nd | 115 |
| 3rd | 110 |
| 4th | 90 |
| 5th* | 70 |
| 7th+ | 70 |
*When you earn your fifth gold chip of the month, you automatically receive your sixth as a bonus.
Players earn FPP's by playing for real money at the PlayersOnly poker room. There are two ways to earn FPP's - either by playing real money ring games, or by playing real money tournaments/sit and go's.
If you're playing real money cash games, you'll earn 1 FPP for every dollar that is raked, every single hand. As long as you're dealt cards you'll receive the FPP's, even if you folded preflop. Also, fractional points are awarded, so if the pot is raked $1.50 each player will receive 1.5 FPP's.
When you play tournaments or sit and go's you'll earn FPPs, as long as they're for real money. Every time you buy into a tournament or sit and go you'll pay a fee, which is usually around 10% of the buy-in. For example, in a $11 tournament you're paying $10 to the prize pool and $1 to the site as a fee.
Every dollar you pay in fees is worth 7 FPP's - so if you play a $10+1 sit and go you'll earn 7 FPP's. You can also earn fractional FPP's in tournaments and sit and go's.
Once you start accumulating Gold Chips you might wonder what you can actually do with them. Well, first of all you can use them in the weekly Gold Chip Giveaway Tournaments.
Every week PlayersOnly.com hosts a poker tournament that can only be bought into using Gold Chips. This tournament awards the winners with real life merchandise or even buy-ins to online poker tournaments. If you earn a gold chip every week, you can have a shot at this tournament every single week.
The Player Rewards Store is the other option for players looking to spend Gold Chips. Here you can redeem gold chips for items like Super Bowl Tickets, DVD's, TV's, iPods, tournament entries, and much more.
